Introduction

It is vital that educators recognize and address the diverse needs of every student in their classroom. By acknowledging that each student brings unique gifts and challenges, educators can explore strategies to design instruction that is both inclusive and manageable. Through the exploration of technology tools and the creation of a digital inventory to collect data on students’ learning styles, interests, and individual needs, educators can tailor activities and identify personalized strategies to accommodate the diverse range of learners. Empowered educators create a supportive and equitable learning environment where all students can thrive and reach their full potential.

Classroom Visit w/Students

  • Ask your facilitator for assistance as you administer the student inventories.
  • Have your facilitator aid with the distribution of equipment to students at the beginning of the school year.
  • It may also be beneficial for facilitators to model the use of equipment, demonstrate login processes and introduce students to new digital tools or learning management systems.

Classroom Visit w/out Students

  • Ask your facilitator to assist with setting up your digital classroom, including parent communication, student communication, organizing instructional resources and enhancing your PLN.
  • Take the opportunity to collaborate on your norm-setting plan and reflect on how the actual process compared to your expectations and original thoughts.
  • Ask your facilitator for support in collecting student inventories from every student prior to session 204.
