This session provides the opportunity to further examine the inquiry-based learning task you wrote during The Quest for Inquiry. You will determine the level of inquiry needed, decide how to use learner questions, and review assessment strategies you will include in the inquiry experience you are creating as part of a high-quality lesson.

Introduction
In an inquiry-based experience, student learning is driven by authentic tasks and interests, and engagement is sparked through learner questions. Providing learning opportunities that are student-centered increases student engagement and deepens understanding of concepts. In turn, learners use higher-level thinking to apply learning to a task and problem-solve while meeting district standards.
Theory Behind Practice
